Job Description: 

Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates to fill the following vacant post within the Business Services Division, National Land Agency:

CUSTOMER SERVICE OFFICER - Land Valuation Division (2 posts)

Job Purpose

To provide assistance to customers transacting business in the Agency and disseminate information to customers and the general public on the products and services provided by the Agency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Processes customer requests in keeping with procedures
  • Processes requests from customers via telephone
  • Processes applications for Certificates of Valuation
  • Records incoming correspondence
  • Participates in the preparation of routine correspondences to customers
  • Addresses customers’ queries, complaints and requests as they relate to products and services

Other Responsibilities

  • Performs other related duties assigned from time to time by the Supervisor

Required Competencies:

The post-holder will be able to demonstrate:

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills with strong interpersonal skills
  • Excellent planning, organizing and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Competence in the use of word processing, spread sheets and other relevant software
  • Excellent team spirit
  • Politeness, courtesy and tact are demonstrated in dealing with customers
  • Sound work ethics
  • Ability to work effectively in a highly stressed environment

Minimum Required Education and Experience

  • Tertiary level certificate in Business Administration Studies/Communication or related field
  • Five (5) CXC/GCE O ’Level subjects including English Language and a numeric subject.
  • Two (2) years related working experience

 

Training in Customer Service would be an asset.

     Remuneration Package:  - Salary Range: $1,166,538.00 - $1,247,093.00 p.a.
